Saturday, June 1st

Barbo’s

This Saturday is the Anchorfest 10′s Tournament.
The tournament will be held at our pitch at Davis Park in Mountain view. The Pitch is located on the North side of Mountain View Drive between Boniface and McCarry, click here for a map.
We need to be there at 10:30 to help set-up and get warmed up.
Be sure and bring plenty of water and something to eat for lunch.
Afterward there will be a grill up at the pitch, than folks will head out to a location TBD.
If you are not CIPP’d you cannot play.  Follow link below and get Iain a photo copy of your drivers license with the USA Rugby Waivers filled out.

Mothertucker Tournament

Mothertucker, The first tournament in Anchorage is a great learning opportunity for new players as well as a good tune up for those kicking the rust off the tires.

We are practicing every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30pm at our pitch at Davis Park in Mountain view. The Pitch is located on the North side of Mountain View Drive between Boniface and McCarry, click here for a map.

CIPP
In order to participate in games and tournaments sanctioned by the Alaska Oosik Rugby Union you must be registered with USA Rugby.

2012 Polar Plunge

Ladies, gentlemen, fellow ruggers.  For the third consecutive year the Bird Creek Barbarian are Freezing for a Reason and taking the Polar Plunge in support of Special Olympics.  You may have seen a picture of us around town or on TV.  We were highlighted twice in last season’s official video:

We currently have 10 people signed up and have pledged to raise $932.00 so far.
We are looking for more people to take the plunge and jump with us.  We wear our rugby kit and it would be great to have enough for two teams to scrum down and jump in.
If you don’t want to join in and jump, please consider sponsoring one of the jumpers for any amount.
